Sarah Palin is Changing Minds!

It seems Sarah is suddenly beginning to change a whole lot of minds about her political deftness and her ability to be a viable presidential candidate. Although many closed minded and vitriolic left wingers like Joy Behar who not only insulted Sarah, but all her supporters when she wondered out loud who was reading all these books that Sarah is selling, because her base doesn't even read. We will just ignore statements like that as the ramblings of an ignorant kool-aid drinker who thought that Black Friday, the Christmas shopping day after Thanksgiving that gets most retailers out of the red for the year, was a racist term. It's pretty safe to say, she's a few bricks short of a full load. We could go on about some of her other off the wall comments, but why digress.

There are many others though, that were skeptical of Sarah's intelligence and political savvy, simply because they didn't take the time to investigate for themselves, and bought into the Main Stream media's characterization of her. But, since the start of her book tour many are beginning to take a second look, and like what they're seeing. Take for example Matt Patterson's change of heart in his recent column about Sarah and her successful press appearances during the roll out of her book. he also mentions the advantage she may have over other Republican ex-governor hopefuls.

Then of course there's US representative Steve King from Iowa, that states even though he thought her resignation as governor was the end of her political career, "it looks like she's bounced back from it, and gone  from there." He even predicts she'll be a presidential candidate, and will be very competitive in the first in the country Iowa Caucuses. He also stated she's the one with the charisma and would have no trouble drawing crowds of tens of thousands.

So, as the hearts of the open and fair minded public begin to take a second look at the Alaskan phenomenon, without the media bias of a national campaign, they're seeing what many of her ardent supporters knew from the beginning. Sarah is looking more and more like what this country needs, especially in the light of the current administrations excesses. All that support her should commit to the hard work of correcting the record on a one on one basis with all that have misunderstood, and prejudged Sarah. Of course, don't waste your time on the small minded Joy Behars of the world. The wise will take correction, the ignorant will die in their  delusion.

What's Next For Sarah?

Since her highly successful book tour ended, it's a legitimate question for supporters and foes alike to ask, "what's next for Sarah?" It's evident the media is still intent on distortions and attacks, as her vacation was replete with reports she was dissing her presidential running mate, because of the photo of a magic marked out McCain visor, she was wearing. Once again the left wing blogs and main stream media speculated and assigned motive to the incident. No one from the left, seems to be able to accept the simple explanation, of trying to vacation incognito. She cut her vacation short because of the media swirl.

It would be classless for me, or anyone else for that matter to try and give advice to a woman that has withstood the most vitriolic attacks, and come out of them with her head held high, and riding a wave of positive poll numbers, as well as astronomical book sales. But, that doesn't mean I'm exempt from trying to predict what she does from here. It's clear she will continue to speak out on Face Book, and Twitter, on all the relevant issues of the day, as her latest tweet does on the arrogance of man, following the Copenhagen conference. She seems to get unmatched responses from every little posting, that seems to hit hard at the left, and engenders her praise from the conservative right. She has an uncanny way of leaving nuance behind, and hitting every issue right at the heart, leaving not a wonder about her position. This will continue to galvanize supporters, and leave opponents scratching their heads. This separates her from most conventional politicians. She's not trying to play both ends against the middle, and many would say that gives a target rich environment to those seeking  sniper practice. But the positives of this approach outweigh the negatives.

It appears, as the 2010 elections draw closer, that conservatives running in congressional races will benefit from her endorsements, and possible campaign appearances. She brings an excitement to every venue, and will bring much needed name recognition to anyone she chooses to help. Moderate or left leaning Republican candidates need not apply. She has shown she is not against endorsing a conservative over a party picked incumbent  in a primary challenge. Her loyalty falls squarely on conservatism over party.

The latter part of her recent best seller, 'Going Rogue," was an excellent revelation of her overall approach to policy, but I predict she will begin a new book that devotes much more to all the relevant issues facing the country, as well as a relentless critique of the current administration. This too will be a best seller, with a release date falling sometime after the 2010 midterm elections. If her goal is to run in 2012, this will give a running start outline of her domestic and foreign policy agendas, and leave the current administration in a defensive posture.

The next year is going to be an exciting and event filled time for conservatives and Palin supporters. The media is loading all weapons and training them squarely at her pretty  little face. But, she's armed with a bullet proof combat vest of character, track shoes of tenaciousness, and rock solid conservative policy helmet, that will lead her to the top of the fighting class, and ensure a conservative energy unmatched in recent decades from the fly over country troops, ready to go into battle squarely behind the little general. Our prayers will provide wind at your back, and dust to the eyes of your foes. Lead us to victory, and a renewed America, SARAH!

Sarah's Success!

Sarah has had quite a last several months. Her book tour was a resounding success. She seemed to relish the opportunity to set the record straight on many of the misconceptions that haunted her throughout the 2008 campaign. Her book sales are through the roof and her poll numbers are up. Christmas will be good for the Alaskan dynamo, and all that support her. It's becoming increasingly clear that she will be a power broker going into the 2010 elections, and her endorsements of conservative candidates will be a boost for them as well as the country.

She has engaged Al Gore, and Arnold Schwarzzenegger on climate issues, and is one of only a few Republicans holding the Obama administration to account on all things. She seems to be carrying the congressional delegations water for them. Has there ever been a political figure so vilified and yet so determined to write her own legacy and contribution to America? Character coupled with courage are beginning to look like Sarah's endowments, as she confounds the media with instinctive answers and a self deprecating humor that was evident at the gridiron speech as well as her appearance on the Tonight Show.

Her book tour was marked with long lines and supporters sometimes waiting over 24 hours in cold blustery weather to have a few seconds of face time with the face that launched a thousand fishing boats. The intensity of her support has to scare the left wing, and secures her an army of support and hard workers if and when she decides to seek another elective office. She is everything the conservative man could want in a presidential candidate, and our hope is that she continues her march to a national campaign to take back America for the American people.

Will Sarah Lead The Tea Party Movement?

As the mainstream media continues to belittle and besmirch the Tea Party movement, a new Rasmussen poll shows a generic Tea party congressional candidate would finish second behind a generic democrat and ahead of a generic Republican. This sounds like trouble for the GOP. It could very well be troublesome, but if I were a democrat I would also be troubled. When Democrats are only polling 36% in a generic ballot, with the Tea Party polling 23% and Republicans 18% I'd be reaching for an oxygen mask, and defibrillators, considering the possibility that if there is only a choice between Democrats and Republicans, most of those Tea Party supporters are going GOP.

This of course doesn't mean the GOP shouldn't be reexamining their national strategy for 2010 and beyond. It's fairly clear that Tea Party supporters are saying loud and clear, "a pox on both your houses." There is a common sense conservative movement that has had it with a democrat lite approach from the GOP hierarchy, and is poised to enforce their will on a party that is unresponsive to the will of the people. George Bush's compassionate conservatism was simply code for more spending. The Bush years were filled with bloated spending, including a medicare prescription drug entitlement, and increased federal spending on education, and almost every domestic policy, along with an immigration policy that met it's doom with the in utero beginnings of the tea party resistance. The TARP bill and the auto company bailouts before Bush left office were the camel back breaking straws for those who believe in federal budget discipline and free market capitalism. For all the good George Bush did in fighting terrorism, his domestic spending priorities were far over the top, and angered fiscal conservatives beyond repair. And, of course most of the GOP congressional leadership went along with all that spending.

The GOP has revived itself somewhat in opposing the Obama agenda which has made the Bush years look like amateur hour in Washington, as far as out of control spending is concerned. That doesn't mean the Tea Party folks are easily forgetting the spending of the Bush years. The Tea Party movement has shown that whether you're a Democrat or Republican, career politicians, have demonstrated that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Therefore, once in power the temptation to buy votes by overspending is a bipartisan problem that leads to corruption and an elitism that the Tea Party movement abhors. Therefore the Tea Party contingent doesn't want to return to the Republican spending trend, but would rather see a common sense conservative approach to government, that demands fiscal discipline as well as free market solutions.

The Tea party movement lacks one thing, and that is a leader who can galvanize both common sense conservative republicans as well as moderate democrats and disenfranchised independents that are tired of buying into the two party monopoly, that blurs the choices to the American voter. Who could that be. Could it be Newt? I don't think so. His party loyalty to Dede Scozzafava in New York 23 put him soundly in the GOP hierarchy camp. Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty and John Thune are loyal Republicans that won't buck the party. Mike Huckabee, although lovable and likable doesn't have the star quality. That leaves only one person. Sarah Palin, who has been trashed by Republican bigwigs and party apparatchiks. She is the only one with the political clout, and ground swell of support that can lead the Tea Party movement.

She has stated time and again that she's a two party believer, and sees a third party as a formula for disaster. But, with 23% of the electorate behind the Tea Party, the GOP will have to listen, especially when they're only polling 18%, and 73% of the GOP says the leadership has lost touch with their base. It's time for a shakeup, and there only seems to be one individual, and one movement that is poised to make the GOP stand up and take notice. Even if she decides to sit on the sidelines she will be a power broker and king maker. The hierarchy of the Grand Old Party is going to have to swallow hard, put on their sunglasses and look straight into the Aurora Borealis, and accept Alaska's answer to electoral victory. SARAH PALIN!
